So I am debating on getting wheels. I am really stoked on getting Enkei RPF1's but wanted to see what everyone thought of my other ideas too....

It looks like I can pick up some '10 STi stock 5 spoke rims with the stock tires on them for about $900. They were only on the car for 1000 miles.
What's your guys' opinions on this?
Anyone have a new STi or other car with 18" Dunlop SP600 tires?
Most all the reviews on Tire Rack said those stock STi tires cup easily and are noisy. Some others said that as long as you make sure your car is aligned correctly there shouldnt be any issues.
stock tires suck unless they are all season tires.. although if i'm correct most come with summer tires.. which means no driving in the snow =(
The summer Dunlops that came on my '10 WRX are legit! I haven't had any issues with them in dry or wet traction.
Also went to Mt. High on the Friday of the week they had that huge storm and the roads were really icy, but I just took it easy and hardly used my brakes and I was fine without chains. Definitely wouldn't recommend a long trip in the snow or ice on them.
Still waiting to build up some cash flow for new wheels and deciding. I've kind of ruled out the RPF1's unless I go gold. I'm leaning more towards Rota Grids or Enkei EKM3's. Maybe even the real Volks. We'll see.
Gonna try to buy some Penny Stock with my tax refund and see if I make any $$$
I've decided on Rota SVN 18X8.5 in either Matte Steel Grey or Hyper Black. Remember I have a DGM Hatch

The main difference is that the Hyper Black is gloss and a little darker color and the Matte Steel Grey is, well Matte (not gloss).
I'm starting to lean towards the Matte Steel Grey because I want some contrast between the wheels and the car, but I do think that the Hyper Black will provide some contrast still.
I'm not sure, but from what I've researched and found out is that with 18X8.5's i won't need any fender rolling or anything at stock height at least. We shall see I guess!
Just ordered the wheels! 18X8.5 Rota SVN in Hyper Black with Wheeltec Black Spline Lugs.. I also found a guy that makes center caps for Rotas and I think I'm gonna get some center caps that have the Subaru Logo or maybe the WRX logo. Haven't decided.
Tires will be next the purchase in probably a month or two
Got all the wheels and tires! Discount Tire matched the insane price quote I got from some place in LA so they ordered the tires for me before I even told them I was gonna get them from em so I went ahead and picked them up! :)
Tomorrow the Hyper Black 18X8.5 Rota SVN's and 245/35/18 Hankook Ventus V12 tires go on tomorrow with NitroFill!! Woo!!

So I dropped the car off at the shop to get the wheels and tires all mounted and balanced.. Turns out WheelDude sent me 2 5X100 wheels and 2 5X114 wheels! FML. So I talked with Dan and they are sending me the other 2 5X100 wheels on Monday and I gotta send back the 5X114 wheels. WHat a pain in the ass!
Whatever, they're gonna pay for the mounting and balancing because of the mishap. So no pictures yet and I may not even have them on in time for the April Fool's Day PandO meet. We'll see!
